We are Elijah Wallace and Michael White, the founders of Wallace White. We started building Wallace White in 2018 during our senior year at Northwestern University and launched the company in 2021.
With Wallace White, we wanted to create a brand that was inspired by both fashion and sports. Our debut watch accomplishes this.
Available in 9 colors, our debut watch is both fashionable and functional. You can exercise in it and wear it out with friends later that day. Our watch is also unisex, available in three sizes.
We also wanted to create a watch inspired by simpler times, so it has only the most essential features (time, day, and date; stop watch, timer, alarm clock, and back light). This means no notifications on your wrist, no metrics to keep track of, and no additional devices to charge.

Sustainability is extremely important at Wallace White. If for any reason, you have an issue with your Wallace White, please contact us about our watch recycling program - we will pay for shipping, refurbish your old watch, and send you a new watch.
We make our watch with a sapphire crystal screen, a polycarbonate face, and polyurethane straps to ensure durability and to reduce our environmental impact. Each year, we will release a sustainability report detailing our challenges and how we are working to leave the world a better place than how we found it.

CASE
Our case is made of polycarbonate. Polycarbonate is a very strong material (over 200x stronger than glass), it is also lightweight. It's scratch, UV, and impact resistant (same material used to make bulletproof glass). Emissions to the environment from polycarbonate are also extremely low.
BAND
Our band is made of polyurethane. Polyurethane is extremely durable and water resistant. As compared to silicone rubber watch bands, it has higher wear resistance and is lightweight. It is also ozone and UV resistant and highly resistant to acids, oils, and solvents.
Polyurethane is also more eco-friendly than most other plastics. It accounts for less than 2% of plastic waste. Once in the environment, polyurethane is not toxic to the environment as it breaks down. It doesn't contribute to PH change / contaminate soil or water.
SCREEN
Our screen is made of the precious gemstone sapphire crystal. Second only to diamond in hardness, it is extremely scratch resistant (can only be scratched by diamond). Most commonly, the glass of watches are made of mineral glass, sapphire glass, or acrylic (plastic). Hardness is measured with the Mohs scale of mineral hardness from 1 - 10. Diamond is the most hard with its value of 10. Acrylic is 3 and mineral glass is 5, our sapphire crystal is 9.
